Alasdair Fraser is part of the British Library's Senior Leadership team. Responsible for Procurement strategy and compliance for £50 million spend on goods and services, with additional project and capital spend. Focus on value for money and supplier performance in a range of industry sectors. Involved in the supply management of all goods, services and capital projects including innovative collection digitisation partnerships, construction of new state of the art storage facilities, collaborative contracts with UK Museums, Galleries ( including the British Museum and the Tate ) and Universities, exhibitions and Facilities Management Services. Alasdair has 25 years in procurement, an MBA and MCIPS with experience in the public sector including Central Government and the National Health Service, Head of Contracts at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, as well as contracts for Save the Children Fund and overseas Consultant for Department of International Development.
